Now is the Hour brings together recent acquisitions from the Latrobe Regional Gallery’s growing collection of contemporary art. On show at LRG for the first time, this exhibition presents works across sculpture, printmaking and photography.

Acquired between 2014 – 2015, these works reflect a range of current concerns by contemporary artists. The works of some artists explore political, social or environmental concerns, as demonstrated by the works on paper of Tom Nicholson and Tracey Moffatt. Other acquisitions investigate certain material and conceptual possibilities in regards to specific artistic media, as shown in the sculpture of Nicholas Folland.

This exhibition proudly presents LRG’s continuing commitment to the maintenance and expansion of a significant public collection, by collecting the works of artists working at the forefront of contemporary practice, locally and nationally.
