Artist Workshop: Lucy Parkinson
Saturday 12 November
1.30pm to 4.00pm
Age: 5-12 years
Gippsland artist, Lucy Parkinson is interested in rituals, myth, and time. Her work is often high keyed in colour in diorama stage like settings. This workshop is suitable for children up to ten years old and their families visiting the International Rose Garden Festival.
Children (and adults!) at the workshop will be able to make a kind of magic garden, using coffee filter paper and crystals.
Grow your own Crystal Garden
Join us at Latrobe Regional Gallery to grow your own crystal flowers and trees from everyday materials. Children can add their flowers to our mineral wonderland, or take the flowers home and continue to watch them grow.
This workshop suits budding artists and scientists, from the ages of 5 to 12. Please allow 1 hour for crystals to begin to form.
Please be advised that due to the nature of the materials in this workshop, adult supervision is required through the duration of the workshop. Protective equipment will be provided.
