Join Gippsland artist Lucy Hersey for a morning workshop and learn to make paint and paintings from the earth. Spend a productive and thoughtful morning selecting, grinding, and mixing your own naturally pigmented paints. You will learn how to find your own arth pigments, including what to look for and important considerations when collecting materials from nature. Once you have made your own beautiful natural colours to play with, you will spend time experimenting and painting with your handmade natural palette.

All materials are supplied, and each workshop attendee will receive a digital copy of Lucy Hersey’s ‘Making Natural Paint’ manual. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your own collection of natural paints and paintings created during the session. No prior creative skills or experience are necessary—this workshop is designed for all abilities, focusing on enjoyment and learning a new skill.

Attendees may like to bring–comfortable clothes they’re happy to get slightly dirty, a waterbottle.
