Meet the artists: Palm Tree Love
Saturday 14 November 2026
11am to 12noon
Free | All welcome
Join Collections Curator Alexandra Drummond and Exhibitions Curator Juan Rodriguez Sandoval, in conversation with invited Palm Tree Love artists, as they discuss the exhibition’s inception, core themes, key LRG collection artworks and what it means (and takes) to belong to a place. This conversation will host personal recollections, experiences and reflections on the way in which towns, cities and neighbourhoods change overtime.
It will also explore which landmarks remain, which emerge and the conditions that allowed these landmarks to become integrated into our society and collective memory in the first place. The event encourages and welcomes crowd interaction, and attendees are encouraged to bring photographs, keepsakes or journal entries from their town, city or neighbourhood to share among the cohort of panellists and audience members.
Meet the Artist(s) is a series of free, casual and conversational artist talks, that encourage public participation and interaction. Meet the Artist(s) aims to present a format that is accessible, supportive and empowering to the Latrobe City community l and communities beyond.
