Latrobe Valley has long been a focus for artists and creatives; the rolling hills and landmarks show up in many of the works in Latrobe Regional Gallery’s Permanent Collection. Within this collection, there is a range of works with a focus on the theme of industry. This theme has shaped artists’ practice, and through them has helped shape Latrobe Regional Gallery’s collection since 1971.

Industry highlights some of these exceptional artists including Mandy Martin, Bill (William) Young, Euan Heng, David McDowell and Christopher Ireland, to name a few. The exhibition will provide visitors with a snapshot of our local region, focusing on the importance of industry on the community.
