Join LRG Assistant Curator Gabriella Duffy for a walk through of Transparent Reflection – an exhibition of selected works by local artist Andrea McCallum.

McCallum is interested in working with multiple techniques used in textile arts. Reminiscing on her experiences in cities and landscapes around the world, McCallum makes use of various textures, layers and detail both within the imagery and fibres she works with.

As two themes evident in McCallum’s practice, transparency and reflection are presented in several ways; merging elements from different memories to create a window leading into a new place in her felt paintings, and explored in the material of the fibres in her series of sculptural vessels and bowls.
