LRG x GPAC: Roll Up!

Works from the LRG Collection

Satellite exhibition

Now showing until 15 October

GPAC Little Theatre Foyer, Traralgon

In a nod to their location in the performing arts hub of Gippsland, the works in this satellite exhibition were selected from the permanent collection of Latrobe Regional Gallery by its curatorial team and consider the circus as a social phenomenon. Through a variety of approaches and creative mediums, these artists delve into the world of the unabashed spectacle and the magic of the stage. Oftentimes a window into the absurd and the unconventional is what we need to shake us out of the banality of the everyday; to replenish our imagination, to laugh, to cringe, and to gasp. This group exhibition is a tribute to the loud curtain call, the dazzle of bright lights, and the roar of an energised crowd. Roll Up!
