SPECULATIVE REALMS
Tricky Walsh

15 May to 1 August 2021
Gallery 1 & 2

Tricky Walsh was born just down the road from Latrobe Regional Gallery – in Moe. The artist’s work arrives in Morwell now – at a time when our town is looking to move onto new futures.

Walsh’s work asks us to consider other possible models, other possible realms in which our world could be seen and made. The artist is interested in mathematics and science, particularly contemporary science that contemplates ideas such as the fourth dimension.

In works on paper, sculptures and sound compositions, Walsh pulls together the world of mysticism and scientific reasoning. Walsh’s combination of fact and fiction creates the possibility for proposals for a new future.
