TRANSPARENT REFLECTION
Andrea McCallum

22 August 2020 to 14 February 2021
Gallery 5

Local artist Andrea McCallum has a practice which combines multiple methods and materials to explore the possibilities and boundaries of textile art.

From fibrous sculptural forms to felt paintings, layered and embroidered photographic pieces, McCallum creates work journalistic of her own experiences. Merging landscapes and architecture from around the globe, the imagery in McCallum’s work is both familiar and distant.

This exhibition presents a selection of works by McCallum which reference themes of transparency and reflection.
